How long does the cooler keep things cold?

The insulated cooler compartment is lined with food-safe PEVA and padded with 5mm EPE foam insulation. It keeps food and drinks cold for 4-6 hours. For longer days, we recommend adding a small ice pack, the compartment is fully waterproof and leakproof so there's no mess.

Is the cooler compartment waterproof? Will it leak?

The cooler lining is 100% waterproof and leakproof PEVA - the same food-safe material used in premium cooler bags. It won't leak onto your other belongings. The outer zip closure also keeps everything sealed securely.

Can the cooler be used separately from the tote?

Yes - that's one of the best things about the Tide Tote. The insulated cooler detaches completely in seconds and works as a standalone cooler bag. You can use the tote on its own as a lightweight mesh carry bag, or clip the cooler on when you need it. Two bags in one.

Will sand get inside the bag?

The open mesh body is designed so sand falls straight through - nothing gets trapped in the fabric. The mesh is also easy to shake out and rinse. The front zip pocket and side pockets use a tighter weave to keep smaller items secure.

How do I clean the Tide Tote?

The mesh tote body can be rinsed with water and left to air dry - it dries very quickly. The insulated cooler compartment wipes clean with a damp cloth. We recommend spot cleaning rather than machine washing to maintain the shape and hardware. Do not tumble dry.

What fits inside? Is it big enough for a family day out?

The Tide Tote is generously sized at 45cm wide × 38cm tall × 18cm deep. The main tote compartment fits beach towels, clothing, sunscreen, snacks, a hat, and more. The two side pockets hold standard water bottles or a thermos. The front zip pocket is perfect for sunglasses, keys, and your phone. The cooler adds 12cm to the base when attached and holds a full day's worth of drinks and snacks for a family.
